Cyberabad Police and SCSC celebrate International Women’s Day
Sajjanar said his challenge as Commissioner of Police is to see that women work in all the verticals of the police in Cyberabad Commissionerate.

Hyderabad: Cyberabad Police and the Society for Cyberabad Security Council celebrated the International Women’s Day at Tech Mahindra, Hitec City here on Friday. A hybrid event – in person and online – the event followed the United Nations theme for this year, ‘Choose to Challenge’.
Chief National Badminton Coach Pullela Gopichand and Indian Badminton Player, Mansi Joshi, apart from Cyberabad Police Commissioner, VC Sajjanar, DCP-Women and Children Safety Wing, C. Anasuya, and Joint Secretary, Women Forum, SCSC, Pratyusha Sharma, participated in the event.
Sajjanar said his challenge as Commissioner of Police is to see that women work in all the verticals of the police in Cyberabad Commissionerate.
Gopichand stressed on the importance of creating a safe environment for female workers and added, “Gender Equality is under-rated. Our culture taught us to respect women. And that is ingrained in us from our childhood.”
He also launched a Safety e-learning module to create awareness about women safety. The 20 minute digital module was launched in three languages – Hindi, English and Telugu.
Talking about women security, Krishna Yedula, Secretary General SCSC, said, “Nearly four lakh out of 10 lakh IT workers in Cyberabad are women. We want to reach out to all employees to achieve a holistic approach in our efforts.”
