Cyberabad police book 138 motorists in weekend drunk driving crackdown
Cyberabad Traffic Police booked 138 motorists during a weekend special drive against drunk driving. Seven offenders recorded extremely high blood alcohol levels up to 550 mg/100 ml. All accused will be produced before court, while a local court imposed fines on 403 persons.
Hyderabad: The Cyberabad traffic police, during the weekend special drunk driving checking caught 138 persons who were found driving under influence of alcohol. Cases are booked against them. Among those held are 121 two-wheelers, five three-wheelers, 11 four-wheelers and a heavy vehicle driver.
Seven of the offenders had BAC levels ranging from 301 mg/100 ml to 550 mg/100 ml. All the persons caught during the special drive will be produced before the Court for legal proceedings, said an official of traffic police. Meanwhile, a local court imposed a fine on 403 persons.
