Hyderabad: The Cyberabad police organized a meeting with private security agencies in the city to discuss about the measures to be taken to strengthen security protocols to enhance public safety.

The meeting was attended by representatives from 145 private security agencies. The police informed that all private security agencies must obtain a valid PSARA (Private Security Agencies (Regulation) Act) license issued by the Director General of Intelligence, Telangana, to operate legally within the State.

They were asked to ensure the security personnel should not to wear uniforms that resemble those of the police, military, or paramilitary forces to avoid any potential misuse or public confusion.

Currently, there are 355 licensed private security agencies operating within the jurisdiction of Cyberabad, with all personnel deployed in unarmed roles. The Cyberabad police urged these agencies to promptly report any criminal incidents they encounter to enable swift action by the authorities.
