Hyderabad: The Cyberabad Police provided jobs in the Information Technology sector to 14 family members of police personnel who lost their lives in the line of duty this year.
Speaking on the occasion of Police Flag Day, Cyberabad Police Commissioner VC Sajjanar said while safeguarding the borders of the country was the duty of the soldiers, it was the responsibility of the police force to take care of internal issues. This year, so far, 264 police personnel had lost their lives in various incidents across the country.
“It is our duty to remember the service and sacrifice of police personnel. The police have been first responders to any emergency situation including the Covid-19 pandemic and the recent Hyderabad rains,” Sajjanar said, adding that the Cyberabad police and the Society for Cyberabad Security Council had provided jobs to 14 family members of police personnel who lost their lives recently.
“Some more names are under scrutiny and we are hoping they too get placement in IT companies,” the Commissioner said.
