Cyberabad police roll out EV patrol fleet in Hyderabad
Cyberabad Police, in partnership with the Society for Cyberabad Security Council (SCSC), have introduced their first electric vehicle patrol fleet in Hyderabad. The initiative includes three EV cars, seven technology-enabled bikes, and 15 electric patrol bicycles to improve accessibility and response times in congested areas.

Hyderabad: In a significant step towards integrating sustainability with public safety, Cyberabad Police, in collaboration with Society for Cyberabad Security Council (SCSC), have launched their first-ever Electric Vehicle (EV) patrol fleet on Friday.
The fleet comprises three EV cars and seven technology-enabled bikes, enhancing patrolling capabilities while promoting clean and sustainable mobility solutions.
The vehicles were flagged off by DGP B Shivadhar Reddy in the presence of senior police officials and SCSC representatives.
In addition to the patrol vehicles, 15 electric patrol bicycles were also launched as part of the initiative. These bicycles will be strategically deployed for patrolling in congested areas, narrow lanes, and high-footfall zones, enabling greater accessibility, quicker response times, and enhanced community engagement.
The initiative has been made possible with the support of sponsors including Novotel, Exel Rubber (P) Ltd., Harsco, and Azad Engineering.
