Hyderabad: In a bid to help patients in Hyderabad with oxygen concentrators at their homes, the Cyberabad Police along with the Society for Cyberabad Security Council (SCSC) and a few NGOs, have set up an oxygen bank with 50 Oxygen Concentrators.
Speaking on the occasion here on Friday, Cyberabad Police Commissioner VC Sajjanar said the facility would be accessible to all patients who could afford to buy or rent an Oxygen Concentrator to maintain saturation levels prescribed by doctors.
“Recently, we launched a Covid care centre in Gachibowli. Since its launch last week, 12 patients have been admitted for post Covid oxygenation purposes. There has been a demand for oxygen concentrators at home and hence this facility is being launched to cater to that demand,” Sajjanar said.
Telugu pop singer Smitha said it was a proud feeling to partner with the Cyberabad Police on various Covid related initiatives and relief activities during the pandemic. Sajjanar appreciated efforts of SCSC, Breathe India and other organizations for supporting the initiative.
Citizens can call the Covid Control Room at 9490617440 or 9490617431 to avail the facility.
