Hyderabad: During the month of March, the SHE Teams Cyberabad had dealt with 154 complaints that were received through different sources such as WhatsApp, email, Hawkeye and also direct walk-in. All the complaints were acted upon and disposed off based on merit.
The teams received over 70 complaints of phone harassment by victims in March while other complaints registered were of blackmail, cheating, misbehaviour and stalking. A total of 68 cases have been registered out of which 15 were criminal cases and 53 were petty cases.
Also, the Cyberabad SHE Teams conducted 591 decoy operations at various places including bus stops, shopping malls, railway stations, tutorials and colleges. The officials caught over 60 people red-handed, while indulging in indecent act at public places.
A press release said the teams also organised 422 awareness programmes addressing over 27,000 people. Counselling sessions were also conducted from March 20 to 31, at Women and Children Safety Wing, Cyberabad, which was attended by several respondents.
