Cyberabad traffic police catch 377 drunk drivers over weekend
Cyberabad traffic police caught 377 people driving under the influence during a weekend crackdown. Twenty-one had high BAC levels. Courts disposed of 55 cases last week, including fines, social service, and one imprisonment sentence.

Hyderabad: The Cyberabad traffic police, during the weekend drunk driving check held on Saturday, caught 377 persons for driving vehicles in an inebriated condition.
Among those caught are two wheelers – 300, three wheelers – 17, four wheelers – 58 and heavy vehicles – 2. A total of 21 offenders had BAC levels ranging from 301 mg/100 ml to 550 mg/100 ml. All those caught are being produced before the court for legal proceedings, said the traffic police.
During the last week, a total of 55 DD cases were disposed of in the courts, in which a man was sentenced to imprisonment and a fine was also imposed on him, while a fine was imposed on five persons and they were also asked to undertake social service. The court let off 49 people after imposing a fine on them.
