Cyberabad traffic police nab 137 for drunken driving

The Cyberabad traffic police booked 137 people during weekend drunken driving checks across Hyderabad. All vehicles have been detained, and offenders will face court proceedings.

Hyderabad: The Cyberabad traffic police, during the weekend drunken driving checks, caught 137 persons and booked cases against them.

Among those caught were 92 – two wheeler riders, 5 – three wheeler drivers, 39 – four wheeler riders and a heavy vehicle driver. The highest number of people caught by the Raidurgam police – 36, followed by Madhapur – 25 and Gachibowli – 23.

Vehicles of all the persons, who were caught, have been detained and the offenders will appear before the court for further legal proceedings, the police stated.
