Cybercrime victims refunded Rs 1.41 crore by Hyderabad Police

Hyderabad: Hyderabad Police’s Zonal Cyber Cells (ZCCs) have recorded a significant improvement in performance this year, with petition disposal rising by 65 per cent to 8,209 cases, while refunds to victims increased by 87 per cent to Rs 1.41 crore.
The figures were reviewed by Hyderabad Police Commissioner CV Anand at a meeting with officials of all seven ZCCs on Friday.
He appreciated the teams for effectively using the Samanvaya Portal for interstate coordination and urged closer collaboration with banks and telecom providers for quicker redressal of fraud cases.
Citizens have been advised to promptly report cybercrime through the 1930 Cyber Helpline or at their nearest police station.
