Hyderabad: Noted engineering and technology firm Cyient has accelerated Covid-19 relief efforts to help people in these challenging times. The company, through its CSR arm Cyient Foundation, has undertaken multiple initiatives to serve the community, according to a press release.

Some of the initiatives by the company include free food distribution, information support on Covid-19 resources, manufacturing and distribution of essential gear and setting up makeshift hospitals. In the coming days, the company is also in the process of setting up plasma donation drives.

Emphasising on the need to extend support to the community during the pandemic, Krishna Bodanapu, MD and CEO, Cyient, said, “We understand that our country’s medical infrastructure and resources are overwhelmed with rising cases on a daily basis. Extending support to the community, the Cyient Foundation will train over 1,000 bedside care attendants who can provide relief to patients in need of need help, but cannot leave their homes. We are committed to doing everything possible to help people.”
