Karimnagar: BC Welfare Minister Gangula Kamalakar opined that Dalit Bandhu is going to become a role model to the entire nation. Moreover, the scheme is going to send a positive message across the country.

Kamalakar along with SC Development Minister Koppula Eshwar conducted review meeting with the officials about the launching of Dalit Bandhu in Huzurabad on August 16 by Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao at District Collectorate conference hall here on Saturday.

Speaking on the occasion, the BC Welfare Minister said in order to bring change in the lives of Dalits through economic and social development of the community, the Chief Minister has designed Dalit Bandhu. The State government has introduced a number of welfare schemes and implemented them successfully. Telangana is the only State which was supplying 24 hours free current to the farming sector, Rythu Bandhu, Rythu Bima, Aasara pensions, Kalyana Lakshmi, Shaadi Mubarak and others.

Instructing the officials to make elaborate arrangements for the Chief Minister’s programme on August 16, Kamalakar wanted the officials of all departments to work in coordination and make Dalit Bandhu launching programme a big success. There should not be any inconvenience for parking, sanitation, or drinking water. People and beneficiaries, who would attend the meeting, should not face any troubles, he asserted.

Minister Eeshwar wanted both public representatives and government officials to work in coordination and make the meeting a grand success. Instructing police officials to take steps to avoid traffic jams, he said there should not be any troubles for parking.

The Chief Minister was spending thousands of crores for the socio-economic development of Dalits. So, the selection of beneficiaries for Dalit Bandhu should be done in a transparent manner, he said.

Karimnagar Mayor Y Sunil Rao, District Collector RV Karnan, Additional Collectors GV Shyamprasad Lal, Garima Agarwal and others participated in the meeting.
