Choppadandi MLA Sunke Ravishankar felicitating Dammayapet sarpanch and secretary.
Karimnagar: Choppadandi MLA Sunke Ravishankar said that Dammayapeta of Malyala mandal has become a role model to the entire nation by successfully restricting the Covid-19 pandemic. Not a single Coronavirus case was reported in the village in the first and second wave of the pandemic. It could be achieved only due to the precautionary measures strictly followed by the villagers.
As the village falls in his constituency, Ravishankar on Saturday visited the village and appreciated Sarpanch Thuniki Narsaiah for striving hard to keep villagers away from Covid-19 during the last one year. He felicitated the Sarpanch, village secretary, ASHA worker, and Anganwadi worker for educating the local people on precautionary measures to be taken to protect themselves from the virus.
Speaking on the occasion, Ravishankar appreciated the villagers for taking all precautionary measures to keep the virus away from their village. Avoiding mass gatherings including functions, wearing face masks, and maintaining physical distance helped the villagers to protect themselves from the virus.
The MLA advised the Sarpanches and elected representatives from other villages to get inspired from Dammayapeta, and take steps to check the virus in their respective villages.
