Danam fumes at Housing Department officials over Indiramma Towers draw

BRS turncoat MLA Danam Nagender lashed out at Housing Department officials for conducting the Indiramma Towers housing draw in his absence, warning of a privilege notice and promising allotments to applicants through his office.

Hyderabad: BRS turncoat MLA from Khairatabad, Danam Nagender expressed strong displeasure at Housing Department officials for conducting the lucky draw to identify beneficiaries for Indiramma Towers without waiting for his arrival at the venue.

The draw was conducted at Kumram Bheem Adivasi Bhavan in Banjara Hills on Saturday. However, officials commenced the proceedings and completed the draw before the MLA arrived.

Expressing his displeasure, Danam Nagender questioned the purpose of having an MLA in a constituency if protocol was not followed.

“Do you have any respect for the MLA or not? You conduct draws and make announcements. I will serve a privilege notice,” Danam Nagender said in a video circulating on social media.

The MLA also appealed to applicants who could not secure houses in the draw of lots to approach his office. He assured them that he would ensure house allotments to all those who approached him.

“Come to me. I will ensure house allotments to all of you by holding their collars,” he said before leaving the venue.
