Danam Nagender’s comments on Formula-E race lands him in trouble within Congress party

Hyderabad: Khairatabad MLA Danam Nagender’s comments stating that the Formula-E race had enhanced Hyderabad’s brand image seems to have put him in a spot of bother.
These comments, which he made during an interview with a YouTube channel, are going viral on social media platforms. Accordingly, TPCC president Mahesh Kumar Goud said he would examine the Khairatabad MLA’s interview and respond accordingly.
Sensing trouble, the turncoat MLA on Sunday clarified on the issue saying that his comments were deliberately misinterpreted by a few people on social media.
Speaking to media persons here, Nagender said: “I have not given a clean chit to BRS working president KT Rama Rao in the alleged irregularities connected with the race. All I said was that Formula-E race had enhanced Hyderabad’s brand image…”
“It was unfortunate that a few people misinterpreted my comments and projected as if they were made against the government. The ACB and ED investigation in the case is under progress and all the facts will be placed before the people,” he added.
