Hyderabad: BRS senior leader Dasoju Sravan on Wednesday launched a blistering attack on Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar, accusing him of shielding Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy. He said the BJP leader was acting as a pawn of the Chief Minister, while diverting public attention with daily tirades against BRS leadership.
In a statement, Sravan questioned whether Bandi Sanjay was merely reciting Revanth Reddy’s script to shield him from scams, corruption and failures. He stated that the BJP leader remained “dumb and deaf” on major controversies, including the Rs 8,888 crore AMRUT scam, Rs 4,350 crore Kodangal lift irrigation irregularities, Rs 1,100 crore civil supplies scam, financial mismanagement, and unfulfilled poll promises.
He also cited farmers’ distress, the urea shortage, Gurukul student deaths, Musi flood victims, and illegal sand and granite mining as issues ignored by the Union Minister.
“It is a travesty that Bandi Sanjay targets former Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao, who is in the Opposition, while shamelessly protecting the corrupt and inept Revanth Reddy in power,” he remarked.
Referring to BRS working president KT Rama Rao’s legal notice against Bandi Sanjay, Sravan warned that the Union Minister would not walk scot-free this time and would be held accountable for his verbal abuse and for spreading social animosity in Telangana.
