BRS MLC Dasoju Sravan dismissed the Formula E case against KT Rama Rao as fabricated, alleging it was a personal vendetta scripted by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy. He accused the Congress government of maligning a globally recognised event that boosted Hyderabad’s electric vehicle profile, while diverting attention from governance failures and debt.

Hyderabad: Describing the Formula E race case as a completely fabricated one, Bharat Rashtra Samithi MLC Sravan Dasoju on Thursday said the chargesheet lacked legal merit, factual foundation and support of evidence.
“This is not law, this is not justice. This is the Chief Minister’s personal revenge script – written, directed and performed by Revanth Reddy himself,” he alleged.
The BRS leader asserted that the Congress government was deliberately maligning a globally acclaimed event that put Hyderabad on the international electric vehicle map.
The Formula E race, held in February 2023 under the previous BRS regime, was expected to attract investments, create jobs, boost EV innovation and enhance the city’s global branding. Instead, the Congress government has converted it into a “bogus scandal” for petty political gains, he charged.
Dasoju accused Revanth Reddy of using the case to divert public attention from his government’s mounting failures, administrative collapse, reckless borrowing, soaring debt, broken promises and crumbling governance.
“When a government has nothing to show in performance, it manufactures accusations. When a leader has no vision, he resorts to character assassination,” he remarked.
Praising BRS working president KT Rama Rao’s contributions in transforming Hyderabad into a global investment hub, Dasoju said the former Minister was being targeted solely because of his integrity and vision.
He expressed full confidence that courts would expose the ‘fraudulent case’ and demolish the politically motivated narrative. Reiterating faith in Telangana’s judiciary and people, Dasoju urged citizens to reject diversionary tactics and protect the State from destructive and vindictive politics.
