Hyderabad: Industries Minister D Sridhar Babu said the State government was focusing on developing dedicated industrial parks for precision engineering industries to strengthen the “Made in Telangana” brand globally.

He noted that Hyderabad was once known primarily for defence research organisations and central public sector units. It has evolved into a key destination for private sector precision engineering and advanced manufacturing industries, he stated.

The Minister inaugurated an exclusive lean manufacturing facility for Baker Hughes at the Azad Centre of Excellence and Innovation in the TGIIC Industrial Park at Tuniki Bollaram in Siddipet district on Thursday.

Speaking on the occasion, he said, Telangana state, with more than 1,500 MSMEs, was emerging as a hub for high-precision manufacturing. The presence of global majors such as Lockheed Martin, Boeing, GE Aviation, Safran, Airbus, and Honeywell underscores the State’s attractiveness for global investments, he said.

“Telangana is taking calibrated steps to position itself not merely as a manufacturing base but as a global engineering and innovation hub,” Sridhar Babu said.
