Deep Mela opens at HITEX with over 228 stalls

The three-day Deep Mela was inaugurated by Kuchipudi dancer Deepika Reddy at HITEX Exhibition Grounds in Hyderabad. Featuring over 228 stalls from across India, the exhibition offers fashion, jewellery, accessories and lifestyle products while supporting the social initiatives of Deepshikha Mahila Club.

Hyderabad: The Deep Mela was inaugurated by Kuchipudi dancer Deepika Reddy at Hall No. 3, HITEX Exhibition Grounds, on Friday. Organised by Deepshikha Mahila Club, a prominent women’s service organisation based in Hyderabad, the three-day mela will run till August 2 from 10 am to 8 pm.

Deepshikha Mahila Club, which has been actively involved in social service since 1987, has been running the Kanya Gurukul High School, which currently educates around 1,700 students.


This year, over 228 stalls from across the country are participating in the event, showcasing collections sourced from prominent hubs including Lucknow, Mumbai, Delhi, Varanasi, Jaipur, Kolkata, Vadodara, Bengaluru, Gurugram, Nagpur, Gujarat and Indore. Visitors can explore a rich selection of fashion and traditional apparel, ranging from sarees, designer sarees and Chanderi handloom sarees to western wear, dress materials, ethnic menswear and children’s clothing.

The exhibition also highlights fine jewellery, featuring 14-carat gold, diamond, silver and gemstone pieces, alongside stylish accessories such as handbags, women’s footwear and specially crafted Rakhis.
