Hyderabad: Telangana Council of Higher Education Chairman Prof. V Balakista Reddy urged stakeholders in the defence and aerospace sectors to scale up industry–academia partnerships to meet the evolving technological and strategic needs of the country.
Delivering an address at the Defence and Aerospace Conclave 2025 organised by CII Telangana here on Thursday, Prof. Reddy highlighted the impact of globalisation, liberalisation and privatisation, and noted that India’s aerospace and defence sectors have rapidly expanded due to progressive policies and legal reforms.
The TGCHE Chairman noted emerging opportunities across the aviation ecosystem, including private participation in airlines, airports, MROs, air taxis and air ambulance services.
Prof. Reddy added that deregulation and increased private sector participation have created unprecedented opportunities for India’s youth. The TGCHE is equipping Telangana’s students with industry-ready skills through curriculum modernisation, industry-aligned programmes, MoUs and structured internships, he said.
