Delhi Public School: Budding leaders in the making

Delhi Public School, Nadergul facilitated yet another investiture ceremony for electing its students’ council, executed virtually, for the second year in a row. The ceremony is one of the momentous occasions when the school entrusts hope, faith and the mantle of responsibility to the newly appointed school council, the school said in a statement.

The ceremony commenced by invoking the positive spirit which set the right tone for the auspicious occasion. Vice-principal Kiran Khanna introduced the chief guests to the audience. The school had the honour of hosting additional commissioner of police, traffic Hyderabad Dr. Anil Kumar (IPS) and head department of education and education technology, University of Hyderabad Dr. JV Madhusudan.


The former administered the oath for the elected prefects. Both the dignitaries lauded the school for meticulously executing the investiture ceremony via the virtual platform. They delivered motivational speeches addressing the elects, harping on the importance of dedication and discipline which goes into the making of true leaders.

Principal Padma Jyothi Turaga took the audience down memory lane, highlighting the achievements and best practices conducted. School chairman M. Komaraiah enlightened the students with his vision of leadership.

School chief operating officer- Malka Yashasvi, the youngest to achieve this position and a role model for all aspiring leaders, spoke on the occasion. He said that the youth of today are the future of tomorrow and urged the youngster to play a key role in bringing about a change in society and thereby transforming the nation.

Youth is the backbone of the nation, he said. The ceremony had its fair share of co-curricular events as well. They were well-accommodated virtually with events like Skating, Karate, Dance, etc.We believe in the holistic growth of students and the investiture ceremony, from its planning to execution, symbolized this spirit all along, the school said.
