Delhi Public School: Learning life lessons at Human Library
The students were indeed enriched with the life stories and journey of these esteemed people who had braved all odds to become successful in life, the school said.
Delhi Public School Nacharam organised the Human Library programme on July 31 virtually. The eminent guests for the occasion included people from various walks of life ranging from scientists, entrepreneurs, Navy Commanders, an Olympics athlete and a member of the United Nations Development Programme to name a few.
Principal Sunita Rao welcomed the guests and shared the objectives behind this unique initiative taken up to encourage children to take inspiration from such renowned personalities. She encouraged students to participate zealously in the programme.
After the inaugural ceremony, the guests for the day joined the various sessions planned for them. The sessions began with a prayer song and welcome speech followed by the address by the guest.
The sessions concluded with a vote of thanks by the students. The students were indeed enriched with the life stories and journey of these esteemed people who had braved all odds to become successful in life, the school said. The human library created greater understanding in the students and provided them with a platform where they learnt through life stories and first-hand experiences of people.
