Hyderabad: Delhi Public School, Mahendra Hills virtually celebrated Hindi Diwas for a week. Various literary activities were organised for students of all classes. Students reminded everyone about interesting facts related to Hindi. In the special assembly, students highlighted the significance of the language in connecting the citizens of India. The students of classes V to VIII enthralled the audience with their vibrant and mesmerizing performance. The dohas by the legendary poets like Kabir, Rahim, Surdas, Tulsi and Mirabai of Bhakti cult were recited. Teachers of the Hindi department came up with the message “Hindi hamaari shaan hai; desh ka abhimaan hai.”
Principal Sunitha Rao in her message to students emphasized the need to be well versed with our national language which helps instill a patriotic fervour in them. This urged everyone to feel proud of our official language Hindi. The celebration concluded on a positive note that the language and culture of any country play an important role in connecting people thereby making a strong nation. Children thoroughly enjoyed the activities as part of the Hindi Diwas.
