Hyderabad: A 21-year-old engineering student from New Delhi, who was struggling with severe allergic asthma and rashes, along with the threat of high Air Quality Index (AQI), has successfully undergone treatment in Hyderabad.

Chief Allergy Specialist at Aswini Allergy Centre, Dr Vyakarnam Nageshwar, in a press release said that despite high AQI levels, the youngster has shown remarkable results. “The patient’s condition, once debilitating, has shown significant improvement after a tailored treatment combining immunotherapy, probiotics and Vitamin D supplementation,” he said.

“Vitamin D and probiotics played a pivotal role in boosting his immune system and reducing inflammation. This combination, alongside immunotherapy, strengthened his gut microbiome and respiratory health, enabling him to thrive even in Delhi’s harsh climate,” he added.

The treatment is an ideal instance of the impact of personalised allergy treatment and the potential of Vitamin D and probiotics in combating pollution-related health hazards, Dr Vyakarnam said.
