Dev Ruparelia storms into Round of 32 at Abu Dhabi Junior International

Dev Ruparelia defeated Pranit Somani in straight games to enter the Round of 32 at the Abu Dhabi Junior International badminton championship. Samuel Tamang and Durga Esha Kandrapu also progressed, while other Indian players are set to compete later

Hyderabad: Dev Ruparelia advanced to the Round of 32 with a straight-games victory over compatriot Pranit Somani, winning 21-9, 21-6 in just 24 minutes in the Abu Dhabi Junior International badminton championship on Thursday.

Dev dominated the rallies from the start and maintained the pressure to comfortably seal the win. He will next face Clement Massias of France.


Samuel Tamang in men’s singles and fifth seed Durga Esha Kandrapu in women’s singles also progressed to the Round of 32, while Akhil Reddy Bobba, Nishchal Chand and second seed Tanvi Reddy Andluri are scheduled to play later.
