Devotee electrocuted while immersing Ganesh idol in Nirmal

A 38-year-old devotee died after suffering an electric shock while taking a Ganesh idol for immersion at Manjulapur in Nirmal on Sunday. Police said he came into contact with a live wire while standing on the tractor carrying the idol

Nirmal: A 38-year-old devotee was electrocuted during the immersion of a Ganesh idol at Manjulapur here on Sunday.

Police said Shiva Kumar suffered burn injuries after coming into contact with a live wire while standing on a tractor carrying the idol from a pandal to the immersion spot. He was shifted to a hospital, where doctors declared him dead on arrival.
