Yadadri-Bhongir: The renovated Sri Yadadri Lakshminarsimha Swamy temple would be thrown open for darshan of the presiding deity from 4 pm on Monday. After conducting ‘purnahuthi’ at 9 am, the festive deities of Sri Lakshminarsimha Swamy would be shifted to main temple in a shoba yatra. Later ‘maha kumbha samprokshana’ would be conducted to vimana gopurams of the main temple.
Chief Minsiter K Chandrashekhar Rao would be attending the maha kumbha samproshana. All the minsiters, MLAs and MLCs have been asked to attend the programme along with their family members. The prooja programmes including nivedhana and others would be completed by noon at the main temple. Darshans for devotees would start from 4 pm, Endowments Minister A Indrakaran Reddy said here on Saturday.
Speaking after reviewing the arrangements for the inaguration of the renovated temple, Reddy said it took nearly five years of sincere efforts by the goverment to give a completely new shape to the temple.
The Chief Minister who personally monitored the works, inspected the temple several times and gave necessary suggestions to the sculptors and designers. He pointed out that the temple was developed with Krishna shilas (black stone). The state government has committed to develop Yadadri on par with Tirumala.
He said that required arrangements would be made on the hill shrine keeping mind the visit of VIPs and possible huge rush of devotees.
Temple Executive Officer N Geetha made it clear that the devotees would be allowed onto the hill shrine only after 3 pm. The devotees should cooperate with the temple officials for smooth conduct of the programme. The devotees can have darshan of Swayambhu Sri Lakshminarsimha Swamy at the temple from Monday. People may visit Yadadri for darshan on their choice of the day, she added.
She also underlined the need to regulate the movement of the devotees on the ghat roads on the day. There would also be security restrictions due to presence of VIPs on the hill shrine, she added.
Ekasheethi Kalashabhishekam conducted in main temple
On the other hand, ‘Ekasheethi Kalashabhishekam’, a pooja with 81 kalash with holy water of rivers, was conducted in main temple by the temple priests as a part of maha kumbha samprokshana. Abhisekham was conducted to idols, which would installed in the main temple, with special liquids. In addition to this, panchakundathmaka yagam was continued in Balalayam on the hill shrine.
