Jagtial: A few devotees sustained injuries when a temporary pandal collapsed at the Kondagattu Anjaneya Swamy Temple on Wednesday morning.
The incident occurred during the Hanuman Chinna Jayanthi celebrations, which began on Wednesday. Temple authorities had erected a large pandal near the Kalyanakatta area close to the Koneru (temple tank) to accommodate devotees.
However, the structure suddenly collapsed, causing panic among the devotees present at the spot.
Apart from devotees who had taken shelter under the pandal, barbers working at the Kalyanakatta were also injured in the incident. Two persons reportedly sustained serious injuries and were shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Preliminary reports suggest that poor-quality construction work may have led to the collapse of the temporary structure.
