Hyderabad: Director General of Police M Mahender Reddy on Thursday inspected several check-posts including those at Kandlakoya, Suchitra and Kompally across the Cyberabad Police Commissionerate.
“Police personnel are working very hard in different shifts, day and night and ensuring strict implementation of lockdown rules,” he said, adding that citizens should partner with the police for the common good. He also interacted with police personnel and took stock of the situation.
Cyberabad Police Commissioner VC Sajjanar, who accompanied the DGP, said barring a few stray incidents of violations, the lockdown was very peaceful.
“People are voluntarily observing the lockdown with self-imposed restrictions and controls which is a really good thing this time. No amount of policing will work without the cooperation of the people,” he said, adding that 5,000 police personnel were deployed to implement the lockdown in Cyberabad.
