DGP Shivadhar Reddy urges drivers to avoid overtaking to prevent road mishaps
Telangana DGP B Shivadhar Reddy urged motorists to avoid overtaking to reduce road accidents during the launch of the ‘Arrive Alive’ campaign in Nirmal. As part of the initiative, radium stickers and first aid kits were distributed to heavy vehicle drivers at a toll plaza on NH-44.

Nirmal: Telangana DGP B Shivadhar Reddy advised motorists to avoid overtaking vehicles which would lead to road mishaps affecting families of road users.
He handed over radium stickers and first aid kits to drivers of heavy vehicles as part of ongoing ‘Arrive Alive’, a statewide road safety initiative launched by the police department, at a toll plaza on NH-44 at Gunjal village in Soan mandal on Tuesday.
Shivadhar Reddy stated that the stickers and kits would play a vital role in providing immediate support during road accidents. He asked the drivers to duly follow road safety norms, not to overtake vehicles. He noted that the initiative was aimed at reducing deaths caused by road mishaps. He opined families of victims of road accidents would be thrown out of gear.
The DGP then administered an oath to the drivers on road safety norms. He released brochures of the Arrive Alive programme. He earlier inaugurated Bharosa centre and handed over cheques of financial aid to victims of POCSO Act in Nirmal town. He interacted with members of Police Akka force formed by Nirmal police.
SP Dr Janaki Sharmila, Bhainsa ASP Rajesh Meena, his counterpart from Nirmal Sai Kiran, DFO Sushanth Bobade and other officials were present.
