First, it was the teaser. Then, it was the trailer. Now, it is ‘Dholida’, the first song. In all the three, it is actor Alia Bhatt’s stunning performance that deserves all the applause.
And, what an extremely power-packed energetic dance and acting performance by Alia in the amazingly choreographed and picturised song, ‘Dholida’. This is just incredible. In what is called perfection, she hides her pain only to pierce its emotions through our hearts.
In this extraordinary musical composition of Sanjay Leela Bhansali, sung by Janhvi Shrimankar & Shail Hada and penned by Kumaar, this ‘high on energy’ track choreographed by Kruti Mahesh, ‘power house of talent’ Alia dons the Gangubai avatar to perfection. It is a performance in which she was not only dancing but also acting with her gorgeous moves and priceless expressions!
Our goosebumps start the moment the song begins. And, all through, our eyes are just stuck on Alia who has brought in unmatchable energy to her character. She has done the last part so well that this remains her memorable dance performance till date.
Slaying the emotional dance in which she has put her heart and soul, and with acting, body language, attitude & expressions, magnificent Alia Bhatt yet again proves, showing her style and grace, that she is outstanding in the challenging role. One literally feels proud as she lived the character of Gangubai Kathiawadi.
The transition in her body language from beginning to the end is commendable. Our head spinning moment came towards the last part of the song that surprises everyone as she performs the very long sequence in one take. A really true performer, Alia has shown dancing is not just above moves but about expressions as well and she did just that beautifully. Emoting sadness as she danced, Alia nailed her performance. Choreography, costumes, background and setting – everything is fabulous for this Garba song in which Alia has outdone herself as Gangubai.
