Dhoolpet LPG explosion: One more dies
Neeraj Singh (48), who sustained critical burns, passed away while undergoing treatment on Wednesday.
Hyderabad: The death toll in the LPG cylinder explosion reported at Dhoolpet on Tuesday went up to two with one more person succumbing to burns on Wednesday.
Neeraj Singh (48), who sustained critical burns, passed away while undergoing treatment on Wednesday. On Tuesday, Neeraj Singh’s son Manav Singh (24) died due to burns. Neeraj’s wife Suchitra (43) is under treatment.
The incident took place at Dhoolpet under the Mangalhat police station limits when the family were allegedly filling small LPG cylinders from bigger ones at their house. Following the explosion, all the three sustained burns and were rushed to hospital. Manav Singh died on Tuesday while Neeraj succumbed to injuries at the DRDO Apollo Hospital in Kanchanbagh on Wednesday. A portion of the house was also gutted after a fire broke out following the explosion.
The police have booked a case and are investigating.
