Neeraj Singh (48), who sustained critical burns, passed away while undergoing treatment on Wednesday.
According to Fire officials, the incident happened around 8 am following a suspected explosion at the industry.
The injured person was identified as Venkatesh (19) a local resident of Peddemul village in the mandal.
Authorities ordered the evacuation of an area 5 kilometres (3 miles) around the scene amid fears that thousands of liters of leaking chemicals may cause more explosions.
The blast took place around 11.30 pm on Saturday at the chemical plant located in Boisar industrial area.
Sources said the explosion was traced to a bag carried by an unidentified man, who is said to have escaped unhurt
The incident had occurred near Mamillapalle village in Kalasapadu mandal when the labourers were unloading gelatin stick from a vehicle for using them at a limestone mine.
Officials are still trying to figure out how many were wounded in the explosion at Ibn al-Khatib Hospital, but they say there are "many."
The workers had been part of a crew tasked with destroying the explosives, which can become unstable over time and unsafe to use.
Sheikh Afroz (7) and Sheikh Ibrahim (9) were playing near their house when they hit a packet in which the crude bombs were kept, triggering the blast.
Sunil Padam, a Maoist militia commander, was killed when an IED that he was placing underground near Gaythapara village accidentally got activated.
The country's president said the fire may have been due to residents burning the fields surrounding the military barracks.
The tribunal took cognisance of media report dated February 23, 2021 which reported that six people were killed in quarry blast in Hirenagavalli, Chikkaballapur on February 22.
Expressing shock over the incident, Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa said he has ordered a thorough investigation into the case.
