Dhruv, Maneesha win back-to-back badminton titles

Dhruv Rawat and K Maneesha of India won back-to-back mixed doubles titles at the Nigeria and Cameroon International Challenges. The A Zone Elite Badminton Academy products defeated Indian rivals in Nigeria before overcoming Koceila and Tanina Mammeri in Cameroon

Hyderabad: Dhruv Rawat and K. Maneesha of India, products of A Zone Elite Badminton Academy (Kondapur), completed a grand double by winning the mixed doubles titles at the Nigeria and Cameroon International Challenge badminton championships on Sunday.

Dhruv and Maneesha defeated K. Sathwik Reddy and Radhika Sharma 21-18, 17-21, 16-11 (retd.) in the Nigerian final and then got the better of Koceila Mammeri and Tanina Mammeri 23-21, 21-17 in the Cameroon final.

Meghana Reddy, another product of A Zone Elite Badminton Academy, settled for a bronze medal in the women’s singles in Lagos.
