Rajanna-Sircilla: Distribution of non-vegetarian food packets at Sri Rajarajeshwara Temple, Vemulawada premises led to a controversy with right wing activists lodging a complaint with the police.
Unknown persons distributed non-vegetarian food packets to beggars sitting on stairs behind the temple on Wednesday evening. While giving packets, distributors informed that they were distributing food packets on the occasion of Christmas, local people said.
BJP and VHP activists rushed to the spot and expressed anger for distributing the sanctity of the shrine by distributing non-vegetarian packets on the temple premises. Later, they lodged a complaint with police.
