Hyderabad: Diwali, the festival of lights is widely celebrated throughout our nation with great pomp and high spiritual devotion. To symbolise the victory of good over the evil spirit, it had been a tradition from ancient times, to burn firecrackers, to demolish all the bottled-up human emotions like anger, jealousy, and all the negative energy from its roots.
However, with the passing of time, it has become a fascination for each and every individual to ornament Deepavali in a spectacular way.
But, this adornment of celebration has brought a dangerous change to our environment, which has become a great threat to humanity. Smoke coming out from the burning of firecrackers, not only affects mankind but also the life of flora and fauna.
It hazards the life of some poor creatures, who are too helpless to express their sufferings. With this massive burning of firecrackers, we are rather celebrating the destruction of the Earth. To save the purity of nature, we should encourage everyone to go for eco-friendly Diwali, so that, it will never choke any life. Instead of burning firecrackers, we can light earthen lamps and diyas to adorn our house with a splendid way of décor.
