Warangal: The remarks of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the creation of Telangana have enraged the party activists as well as people of erstwhile Warangal district.
People and party workers in large numbers participated in the protests including rallies and events of burning of Modi’s effigies. Minister Errabelli Dayakar Rao participated in bike rallies wearing black ribbons in Rayaparthy, Thorrur, Palakruthy and Devaruppula manadal centres in his Palakurthy constituency. Addressing the rallies, Rao alleged that the BJP was conspiring to ‘attack’ on Telangana.
“But we don’t spare none if they try to insult Telangana or our Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao,” he said and reminded that the bifurcation of erstwhile Andhra Pradesh was done as per the Constitution by following the due Parliamentary procedures. He appealed to the people not to be carried away by the divisive politics of the BJP.
Meanwhile, Warangal West MLA Dasyam Vinay Bhaskar demanded Prime Minister Narendra Modi to tender an unconditional apology to the people of Telnagana for his remarks. He participated in several protests organised in Hanamkonda on Wednesday. He said that the BJP leaders were jealous of the unprecedented development in the newly-born Telangana State. Vinay Bhaskar said that the Modi government had done nothing for the development of Telangana State , but spewing venom on Telangana, and insulting the Telangana people.
He also participated in the bike rallies wearing black shirt, mask and scarf along with several other protestors.
KU TRSV leaders burn Modi’s effigy at University first gate
Scores of students and members of the Kakatiaya University TRSV burnt the effigy of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his controversial remarks on creation of Telangana on Wednesday. They burnt the effigy in front of the first gate of the varsity, and Telangana Vikalangula Co-operative Corporation chairman Dr Kethireddy Vasudeva Reddy attended the programme.
Earlier, they held a mock funeral procession for Modi’s effigy on the campus before burning it. The students wearing black badges and ribbons participated in the rally. Speaking on the occasion, Vasusdeva Reddy demanded that Modi tender an apology to people of Telangana and withdraw his comments made on the floor of Rajya Sabha.

“BJP-governed States are lagging behind Telangana in terms of development. This is causing heartburn to the BJP leaders. That is why they are spewing venom on Telangana. This is the third or fourth time Modi had made comments against Telangana hurting the sentiments of Telangana people,” he added. TRSV KU leader Byrapaka Prashanth, Sarath Chandra, Komuraiah, Aruri Ranjith, Rajagopal, Nagaraj, K Suman, Veeru, Vishnu, Raghu and others have participated in the protests.
