Hyderabad: The South Zone police warned pharmacists of stringent action if they sell habit-forming drugs without prescriptions.

Around 200 pharmacy store owners from Falaknuma division participated in a meeting held here, during which MA Majeed, ACP (Falaknuma) said youngsters were using medicines which cannot be sold without prescription and under its influence, were committing crimes.
“Pharmacy owners should be more responsible and should not hand over any drug to addicts for the sake of money. Action will be initiated against pharmacy owners if they are found on the wrong side of the law. Cases will be booked and licenses cancelled,” he said.
