DPS Nacharam: Literary, cultural event mark Telangana Formation Day
Principal Sunitha Rao greeted the staff and urged to keep the State safe and add value to the rich cultural heritage.
Delhi Public School, Nacharam celebrated Telangana Formation Day to commemorate the formation of the State and remember its rich legacy. A special virtual assembly was organised to mark the occasion. The assembly started with a soulful prayer song by Vamsi and a presentation on the unique attributes of Telangana.
Principal Sunitha Rao greeted the staff and urged to keep the State safe and add value to the rich cultural heritage. She further added that this feeling of belongingness and pride in one’s state will further lead to a higher virtue of national identity. Senior Vice-Principal Nandita Sunkara fondly reminisced her bond with the State and its elements. The presentations gave a peek into the history, culture, monuments, festivals, dances, music, cuisines, dresses, writers and poets, handicrafts, industries and advancement of our Telangana.
Various competitions like collage making, photography, painting, quiz, article writing were conducted for students that reflect the diverse and unique culture of the State. Students from senior secondary segment fervently participated in the competitions and produced magnificent works. The entire programme was proposed and ably conducted under the guidance of the vice-principal and coordinated by Prashanth and a team of teachers. All the participants and the creative winners were awarded with e- certificates. The ingenious videos and podcasts crafted by the students featuring the diverse culture, heritage and cuisines of the State Telangana stole the show.
