Hyderabad: Children of grade I and II of Delhi Public School, Nacharam witnessed science week celebration through a student-led special virtual assembly. The theme of the assembly was SCIONTURE – a blend of syllables taken from science, fashion and nature.
The assembly began with the lighting of the lamp followed by an inspiring speech by principal Sunitha Rao. To enrich us with the story of progress in clothing styles from past to present, the little ones showcasing itinerary of attires, walked on the red carpet exuberantly.
The day underlined the importance, relevance and advancement of science in our daily life and how fashion is involved in it. The students put up mesmerising performances on different topics like sustainable fashion, ancient and modern jewellry, trending nail art and tattoos. To throw light on the age-old versus modern techniques of decorating houses, a virtual house tour – Visite De Le Maison, was also organised. ‘Food Fash-ience’ – an art of modifying, processing, arranging, or decorating food to enhance its aesthetic appeal was also showcased by the little ones.
An emphasis was laid on an initiative by Prime Minister Narendra Modi – ‘Go Vocal for local’ and the audience was urged to use and buy Indian products that have ‘Made in India’ written on it.
The assembly culminated with words of motivation by headmistress Uma Kasinadhuni wherein she appreciated the efforts of all the students and titled the celebration as a fitting event where learning and fun came together and created perfect magic.
