Dr M Ramesh takes charge as Cyberabad Police Commissioner
Dr M Ramesh, a 2005-batch IPS officer, assumed charge as Commissioner of Police, Cyberabad, succeeding Avinash Mohanty, who was posted as the first Commissioner of the newly created Malkajgiri Commissionerate. He also issued guidelines for safe New Year celebrations.

Hyderabad: Dr. M Ramesh, a 2005-batch IPS officer, assumed charge as the Commissioner of Police, Cyberabad on Tuesday. He succeeded Avinash Mohanty, who was transferred and posted as Commissioner of Police, of the newly created Malkajgiri Commissionerate.
Speaking after assuming charge, Dr. Ramesh said that the foremost responsibility of the Cyberabad police would be to uphold the rule of law and ensure impartial and fair treatment for all citizens, emphasizing professionalism, transparency, and people-centric policing.
He underlined that maintaining law and order would remain the primary focus of all police activities to ensure a safe and secure environment for the public. He also highlighted traffic management as a key priority, directing that regular checks for drunk driving be conducted diligently.
Regarding the upcoming New Year celebrations, he issued guidelines to ensure incident-free and accident-free festivities, while encouraging the police to actively consider citizens’ feedback in all policing activities.
Avinash Mohanty, a 2005-batch IPS officer took charge as the first Commissioner of the newly created Malkajgiri Police Commissionerate on Tuesday evening.
G Sudheer Babu, a 2001-batch officer was transferred and posted as Commissioner of the newly formed Future City Commissionerate. He assumed charge earlier on Tuesday.
The State government has restructured the jurisdictions of the existing police commissionerates of Hyderabad, Cyberabad and Rachakonda.
