The Telangana State government has announced a major reshuffle in the police force, transferring 20 IPS officers to new postings across Hyderabad, Cyberabad, Future City, Malkajgiri, and Siddipet commissionerates.
Dr M Ramesh, a 2005-batch IPS officer, assumed charge as Commissioner of Police, Cyberabad, succeeding Avinash Mohanty, who was posted as the first Commissioner of the newly created Malkajgiri Commissionerate. He also issued guidelines for safe New Year celebrations.
