Hyderabad: Director Ashwath Marimuthu’s latest Instagram post has set the internet buzzing.
The Dragon director has put up a hiring call for for Assistant Directors for his next ambitious project with Tamil superstar Silambarasan (STR) with AGS productions.
However, there’s a catch—the director mentions that the hiring process will not involve any recommendations or favours but will take place purely on the basis of talent.
In a detailed post on his Instagram account the director explained that the hiring process involves three tough rounds: resume shortlisting, a one-page scene writing test and a face-to-face interview with Ashwath himself. No video calls or proxies—just raw talent and passion for cinema.
The director empahsises that he is looking for someone who can think independently and bring a freshness to the table and not just nod at everything that he says.
The post also mentions that there are only eight spots and selected candidates have to commit for an year. The applications are open until April 7, 2025.
