DRDL hosts INSPIRE 2025 workshop on indigenisation and innovation

Hyderabad: A workshop on ‘Indigenisation of Systems for Productionisation through Innovation and Reconnaissance (INSPIRE 2025)’ was organised by DRDL here on Saturday.
In his keynote address, NITI Aayog Member Dr VK Saraswat said that the era of Atmanirbharata is achieved by nurturing innovation in weapon systems, thereby emerging India as a global leader.
DD R&D Secretary and DRDO Chairman Dr Samir V Kamat highlighted the importance of focusing on cutting-edge R&D and innovation for realising the goal of Viksit Bharat by 2047.
During the workshop, eminent personalities from Defence and Aerospace delivered invited talks, which included Dr BHVS Narayana Murthy, Vice Chancellor of DIAT Pune, Arun Ramchandani, Senior Vice President and Head, L&T Precision Engineering and Systems Mumbai, Commodore A Madhavarao (Retd.) CMD of BDL, and Dr SVS Narayana Murthy, CMD of MIDHANI.
Participants from various organisations in defence and aerospace took part in the workshop. Over twenty-five public/private organisations from the defence and aerospace sectors exhibited state-of-the-art technologies and systems.
U Raja Babu, DG (MSS), Dr GA Srinivas Murthy, Director DRDL, Anindya Prasad, Director RCI, and Dr B Hara Prasad, Outstanding Scientist, DRDL, also participated in the event.
