DRF rescues six family members stranded in Adilabad floods
The DDRF rescued six family members, including three women and a child, trapped in a flooded house in Gudihathnoor mandal of Adilabad. Heavy rains also flooded shops in Utnoor, displaced families in Indervelli, and stranded residents in low-lying areas of the town

Adilabad: Personnel of the District Disaster Rescue Force (DDRF) rescued six persons, including three women and a child, who were stranded in a house inundated by floods at Seethagondi village in Gudihathnoor mandal on Saturday.
Three women, two men and the boy from a family were trapped in the house after heavy rains flooded it. On receiving information, Collector Rajarshi Shah and SP Akhil Mahajan rushed to the spot and directed the personnel to rescue the family. The team brought the family to safety using ropes. The family members later thanked the police.
Meanwhile, families affected by the heavy rains were shifted to safer places by locals in Indervelli mandal centre. Rainwater entered business establishments at Ambedkar Chowk in Utnoor mandal centre, causing heavy losses to the owners. People stranded in floods were also rescued in Manipur Colony and other low-lying areas in Adilabad town.
