DRI seizes Rs 4.15 crore Hydroponic ganja at Hyderabad Airport
DRI officers at Hyderabad’s Rajiv Gandhi International Airport seized 4.15 kg of hydroponic ganja worth Rs 4.15 crore from a woman arriving from Bangkok. The cannabis was hidden in her luggage’s false bottom. She was arrested under the NDPS Act
Hyderabad: The Directorate of Revenue Intelligence on Saturday seized 4.15 kg of hydroponic ganja valued at Rs 4.15 crore at the RGI Airport.
On specific intelligence, the DRI officials intercepted a passenger coming from Bangkok to Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, Hyderabad.
“On searching her baggage, packets containing greenish substance in lumpy form were recovered, which tested positive for cannabis, and was found inside the false bottom of her luggage bag. A total of 4.15 kg of hydroponic weed was seized and the passenger was arrested under the provisions of the NDPS Act, 1985,” said the officials.
