Hyderabad: Imagine sitting around at a meal or party, casually snacking on the cups that held your beverage. You can now shop for edible cups at Edco India, a Hyderabad-based company that manufactures cups that can be eaten after consuming cold and hot beverages.
These cups come in three sizes. They are perfect for serving snacks, desserts, chaat, cupcakes, layer cakes, fruit salads, sauces, dips, ketchup, and honey. The cups are available to purchase via the Eco India website.
Edco India was founded in 2017 by Rohan Pamnani to explore innovative products in the wafer and biscuit segment. He wanted to encourage people to shift from single-use plastic to eco-friendly.
Two years later, the company launched biscuit cups, in which you can serve liquid directly. Eventually, they came out with these cups in multiple flavours including chocolate, choco biscuit, vanilla, and cardamom. It recently launched coffee cups too for Espresso, Hot chocolate, Macchiato, etc.
The parent company, R&D Engineers, manufactures machines for these products. Going ahead, Edco India is planning to introduce the cups in more flavours.
