Hyderabad: The driver of a container vehicle was arrested by the Medchal police on Thursday for rash and negligent driving resulting in the death of a person four days ago.
A Naikwad (36) of Bengaluru was driving a container truck when he hit a bike on which two persons Panga Ramesh (30) and B Chandrasekhar (33), both working as assistant professors at a private college, were riding. Both fell off the motorcycle. Ramesh died on the spot, while Chandrasekhar survived with minor injuries.
The police said Naikwad was in an inebriated condition and drove the vehicle at high speed resulting in the accident.
