Driver burnt alive as lorry catches fire after collision on NH-44 in Nirmal

A lorry driver was burnt alive after his vehicle caught fire following a collision with another lorry on National Highway 44 near Medipalli village in Nirmal district. Police identified the victim as Jawari Singh and have launched an investigation into the incident.

Nirmal: A driver was burnt alive when a lorry caught fire after colliding with another lorry on a national highway at Medipalli village in Nirmal mandal on Wednesday night.

Police said that the driver, identified as Jawari Singh from Sonala mandal in Adilabad district, was killed instantly. He was trapped in the blaze that erupted due to impact of the collision of two lorries on national highway 44. Despite efforts made by police, he could not be rescued in time and died on the spot.


Following a complaint lodged by a family member of the driver, a case has been registered. Investigations into the incident are underway.
