Drones used to trace man swept away in stream in Sangareddy

Patancheru: Patancheru police used drone cameras in an attempt to trace a man who was swept away in a stream at Uskebavi village in Sangareddy district on Tuesday night, when Telangana witnessed heavy downpour.

Inspector N Venugopal Reddy said Anand (30), a resident of Beeramguda under Ameenpur police station limits, was swept away while crossing the stream in his car. Since the stream was in full swing, officials could neither trace the car nor the man till Friday which prompted the police to use drone cameras to survey the stream through the day. However, they could not trace the man or the car till Friday evening.

The Inspector said they will take up search operations on Saturday. Since the water flow had receded considerably by Friday, Reddy was hopeful that they will be able to trace the man on Saturday.
